At BUSCO Sugar Milling Corporation and Crystal Sugar Company, Inc., the crop year for 2023-2024, PHILSURIN’s sugarcane varieties took the lead, proving their effectiveness and reliability. PHILSURIN’s recommended varieties made up a whopping 58% of all sugarcane milled, showing that farmers trust these high-yield, disease-resistant varieties.

Some sugarcane varieties weren’t identified, making up 26% of the mill’s total tonnage. While PHILSURIN continues to grow in popularity, there were still some other varieties that made it to the mill, including 10% from PHIL varieties and 6% unidentified.

Among the top performers were VMC 88-354, PSR 02-272, and VMC 86-550—all tested and trusted for their vigorous growth and high yield. Another rising star is PSR 07-195, which is becoming more popular in Bukidnon because of its impressive yield performance.
