PHILSURIN emerged in the 1990s as a response to the declining Philippine sugarcane industry, preventing a potential 85 billion peso loss. Our focus has been on research and development to create high-yielding sugarcane varieties. With over 27 new varieties tailored to diverse environments, we’ve serviced nearly half a million hectares, significantly boosting productivity.
Through strategic investments in technology and strong partnerships with millers and planters, we’ve transformed an initial one billion peso investment into an 85 billion peso production value. PHILSURIN stands as a beacon for innovation in agriculture, attracting investors who want to be part of a sustainable future in sugar production.
